I first met my good friend Julie Hamill during the COVID school closures, when she was fiercely advocating against child mask mandates. Her passion for protecting kids and standing up for common sense was clear from the start, and it’s no surprise to see her now fighting just as hard for fairness in girls’ sports. Julie will also be featured in our upcoming documentary, 15 Days, coming this summer—check out 15daysfilm.com for more details.
Yesterday, Julie appeared on CNN with Brianna Keilar to discuss biological males competing in women’s athletics, specifically addressing track athlete AB Hernandez. Keilar seemed utterly lost during the interview, struggling to keep up. At one point, she referred to Hernandez as a “girl” and asked Julie, “What would make this fair for her to compete?”
Julie, sharp as ever, cut through the confusion: “Who is her?” When Keilar clarified, “AB,” Julie didn’t miss a beat: “AB Hernandez is a male who identifies as a female. What would be fair is to have Hernandez compete in the male category.”
Watching Julie, I couldn’t help but smile—she was talking to Keilar like she was explaining something to a middle schooler, and honestly, it felt that way. Julie’s clarity and courage, honed during those early battles against overreach in schools, shine through in her fight to protect girls’ sports. She’s not afraid to speak the truth, no matter how uncomfortable it makes people.
Julie’s advocacy doesn’t stop there. She’s been a consistent voice for children’s rights and parental freedom, as seen in her powerful writing. Check out her piece on The Dehumanization of America, where she reflects on her experiences and offers thoughts on reclaiming our country’s values. She also broke down California’s AB 1955, a bill pushing gender ideology in schools in “New CA Bill Forces Schools to Teach Gender Ideology”, exposing its implications for parents and kids. And don’t miss her analysis of a major Virginia court case involving Hamas and campus protests in “What’s Really Behind the Student Protests on America’s College Campuses?”, showcasing her legal expertise on critical issues. Finally, Julie tackled California’s physician censorship law in “Who Would You Rather Take Medical Advice From—Your Government or Your Doctor?”, a must-read for understanding her fight against government overreach.
Brianna Keilar speaks in a strange monotone and seems only capable of reciting transgender talking points. I would not be surprised to learn that she is an AI bot.
