I really enjoyed this. We must be around the same age. I ran into Winona Ryder at a snack bar in Yosemite when I was in high school soon after Pretty in Pink was a blockbuster hit.
Wow! We must be! Yes those 80s stars were something. As a little kid, they were like gods and godesses to me... But the music was even more, it was sweeping and sublime.
Great post! A fellow child of the 80's, you brought back many wonderful memories. :) The Eye of the Tiger was my favorite running song...the beat set the pace for my pace. I miss those days!
Yes! That is why we listen exclusively to 80s on 8 (with a brief interlude in Yacht Rock) on our car radio! We travel in a time capsule and I like it just like that!
I had forgotten about the "Welcome Home Roxy Charmichael" movie it was a fav of mine growing up.
Pretty much we all in that decade grew up with the same viewing culture.
Thank you, Natalya! These songs put a smile on my face and a pep in my step. You are right, it is good to want things!
